MANILA, Philippines — Mindanao, parts of Visayas and Metro Manila will experience rain showers caused by easterlies or wind from the east, the state weather bureau said Tuesday.
In its weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Mindanao, Eastern and Central Visayas will have cloudy skies with rain showers and isolated thunderstorms.
The easterlies will also affect Metro Manila, bringing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
Pagasa cautioned that flash floods and landslides are possible in areas affected by rain showers.
Meanwhile, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon will have cloudy skies with light rains also due to easterlies and the northeasterly surface wind flow.
The northeasterly surface wind flow will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains to Ilocos Region.
