Chief Justice Peralta suspends judiciary work on Dec. 23

MANILA, Philippines — Supreme Court Chief Justice Diosdado Peralta has declared work in the judiciary department suspended on Monday, Dec. 23, 2019.

In his Memorandum Order No. 90-2019 dated released Monday, Peralta suspended work in the judiciary on the condition that a “skeletal workforce” will be present in the following offices:

Supreme Court

Office of the Clerk of Court, En Banc

Office of the Division Clerk of Court, First Division

Office of the Division Clerk of Court, Second Division

Office of the Division Clerk of Court, Third Division

Judicial Records Office

Fiscal Management and Budget Division

Office of Administrative Services, SC

Office of Administrative Services, OCA

Court of Appeals

Sandiganbayan

Court of Tax Appeals

All first and second level courts

All officials and employees who will render service on Dec. 23, 2019 will be entitled to one-day compensatory time-off, Peralta noted.

Tuesday, Dec. 24,  is a special non-working holiday while Dec. 25, Christmas Day, is a regular holiday.
