Chief Justice Peralta suspends judiciary work on Dec. 23

MANILA, Philippines — Supreme Court Chief Justice Diosdado Peralta has declared work in the judiciary department suspended on Monday, Dec. 23, 2019.

In his Memorandum Order No. 90-2019 dated released Monday, Peralta suspended work in the judiciary on the condition that a “skeletal workforce” will be present in the following offices:

Supreme Court

Court of Tax Appeals

All first and second level courts

All officials and employees who will render service on Dec. 23, 2019 will be entitled to one-day compensatory time-off, Peralta noted.

Tuesday, Dec. 24,  is a special non-working holiday while Dec. 25, Christmas Day, is a regular holiday.
