MANILA, Philippines — A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Saturday afternoon, state seismologists said.
In an earthquake bulletin, Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the tremor hit 49 kilometers (kms) southeast of Governor Generoso in Davao Oriental at 2:39 p.m.
The earthquake, which was of tectonic origin, has a depth of 70 kms.
Phivolcs said no aftershocks or damage are expected from the tremor.
