1,314 pass November 2019 PNPA Cadet Admission Exams

MANILA, Philippines — More than 1,000 examinees passed the November 2019 Philippine National Police Academy College Admission Test (PNPACAT), the country’s police academy announced on Saturday.

In a statement, PNPA director Maj. Gen. Jose Chiquito Malayo said 1,314 out of 17,482 examinees passed the test held on Nov. 10 in 31 testing centers nationwide.

The admission test is the first phase of the screening process for applicants to the police academy. After passing the PNPACAT, applicants to the PNPA still need to pass a neuro-psychiatric examination, a medical and dental examination, a physical fitness test and a panel interview.

Malayo said they will implement a strict process among its applicants. The selection will be based on merit and ranking system from their overall performance in the screening process.

Malayo also said they are eyeing a quota of over 350 incoming cadets that will enter their Bachelor of Science in Public Safety Batch of 2024.
