Easterlies to bring cloudy skies with chance of rain over Visayas, Mindanao
MANILA, Philippines — The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with a chance of rain over Visayas and Mindanao, the state weather bureau said Saturday.
In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the easterlies will bring cloudy skies with rain showers with isolated thunderstorms over eastern Visayas and Caraga.
Pagasa added that the easterlies will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over Palawan and the rest of Visayas and Mindanao.
Residents living in the aforementioned areas were advised to brace for possible flash floods or rain-induced landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Cloudy skies with light rains will hover over the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley and Aurora and Quezon provinces due to the northeast monsoon or “amihan.”
The “amihan” will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, the state weather bureau added.
