MOTIONG, Samar — A motorcycle driver died after he was ran over by a truck about 7:40 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, in Sitio Banago, Barangay 1-A here.
Police Captain Ruel Cantillas, Motiong chief of police, identified the victim as Arnel Añano.
The investigation showed that Añano was traversing a curve lane bound for Paranas, Samar on board his motorcycle when he hit a stray dog on the street.
He lost control of the motorcycle, which was eventually bumped by an incoming fuel tank truck at the opposite lane.
The victim was brought to the Samar Provincial Hospital but attending physicians pronounced him dead on arrival.
The fuel tank driver voluntarily surrendered to the local police. /lzb
