Taguig hosts MMFF parade

Several roads in Taguig City will be closed on Dec. 22 to give way to the Metro Manila Film Festival’s annual Parade of Stars. This year’s parade, to be hosted by the city, will span 15 kilometers and is expected to last around 8 hours, according to Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) general manager Jojo Garcia. Garcia said that the parade would start at 1 p.m. on Lakeshore C-6 and end at Le Grand Avenue corner Chateau Road. Motorists were advised of the following road closures: M. L. Quezon Avenue (from Dr. A. Santos to MRT Avenue); MRT Avenue (from M. L. Quezon to Cuasay Street); Cuasay Street (from MRT Avenue to C5), and C-5 Service Road from Barangay Pinagsama to Palar. Vehicles would be allowed to counterflow on Upper McKinley Road from C5 to Lawton Avenue and Lawton Avenue to 5th Street, Garcia said. —Krixia Subingsubing
