CONSOLACION SHOOTING

A 28-year-old habal-habal (motorcycle-for-hire) driver was shot and wounded by two motorcycle-riding men.

The driver was  lying on a bench outside his home in barangay Cansaga, Consolacion town,  Wednesday night.

Donald Godinez,  was rushed to  the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) after he was shot twice in the body around 11:30 p.m.

Police said the victim’s wife told them Godinez was able to identify his two assailants as   Ponciano Villamor and  RJ Villamor of barangay Jagobiao, Mandaue City.

Police said the motive of the crime has not yet been established.

TEEN WITH FIREARM

Police arrested a 19-year-old youth for possessing an unlicensed firearm in barangay Daanlungsod, Toledo City, on  Thursday.

Police said Arthur Pagdalian was brandishing a loaded .22-caliber revolver called a Black Widow in front of children in their neighborhood.

His neighbors were alarmed and called the police.

Police said  Pagdalian did not resist arrest but was unable to present a license for his gun,  which the police confiscated.

Police said they checked his background and learned that Pagadian  faced several complaints before for mauling his brothers.

ROBBERY SUSPECT FALLS TO POLICE

AN 18-year-old robbery suspect was arrested in barangay Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City after he was  positively identified by  a woman, his latest victim.

Yehpeth Bontilao   had  been tagged in two previous robbery cases in  July 2011, said police.

Police said Zenaida Canales, 28, was walking on her way to work when Bontilao suddenly  blocked her way and poked a knife at her while declaring holdup.

The woman resisted when Bontilao grabbed her bag.

He tried to stab her, but the woman parried the blows, which grazed her arm.

Bontilao ran off with victim’s bag.

Several  witnesses came forward to identify Bontilao, who was arrested in his home. /norman mendoza

ROAD MISHAP

An 8-year-old boy was  hit by a  motorcycle while crossing the street in barangay Talisay, Santa Fe, north Cebu, yesterday.

Julieto Pasilan  dislocated his shoulder and suffered other injuries in the body.

He was placed under observation at the Bantayan District Hospital yesterday.

Police said , Reynaldo Adlaon, 43, was driving his black DT Yamaha motorcycle when the boy, who was playing on the roadside, suddenly crossed the street.
