2 held in drug stings in Camarines provinces

LEGAZPI CITY –– Anti-narcotics operatives arrested two suspected drug pushers in separate drug operations in Camarines Sur and Camarines Norte on Tuesday.

Maj. Maria Luisa Calubaquib, spokesperson of the Bicol police, said Vincent Salonga, 20, was arrested in Barangay Salvacion in Bula town, Camarines Sur around 4:30 p.m.

Recovered from him were four bricks and nine plastic sachets of marijuana worth P200,000.

In Camarines Norte, operatives arrested Rowel Valera, 49, in Barangay Parang, Jose Panganiban town around 5:30 p.m.

Seized from him were 21 plastic sachets of “shabu” (crystal meth) with a street value of P30,000.

Calubaquib said Valera was number 2 in the regional drugs watchlist of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency. Mar S. Arguelles
