PDEA nets 5-kg shabu haul, 3 suspects in Tawi-tawi

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY –– Authorities seized on Tuesday morning some five kilos of suspected crystal meth or shabu in a buy-bust operation in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi.

An initial report from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Zamboanga Peninsula said the raid took place in Barangay Poblacion around 8:30 a.m.


During the raid, three persons were arrested, namely, Haberson Jaafar, Elmer Jamadin, and Adzfar Asali.

The illegal substance was concealed in tea packaging.


A combined force of PDEA, Philippine Marines, Philippine Army, Philippine National Police, and the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency conducted the raid.
