MANILA, Philippines – Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected in the Bicol region, Quezon and Samar provinces on Tuesday due to the tail-end of a cold front the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported in its daily weather forecast.
Flash floods and rain-induced landslides are possible in rain-affected areas, Pagasa warned.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon will affect the rest of Luzon, bringing cloudy skies and light rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos region and Aurora province.
Gusty conditions in coastal and mountainous areas could be expected, Pagasa said.
Mindanao, Palawan, and the rest of Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers brought about by localized thunderstorms.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will likewise prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon due to the northeast monsoon, Pagasa said.
Strong winds in the northeast direction are expected in Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon and of Eastern Visayas, while coastal waters will be rough.
Meanwhile, the rest of Luzon and Visayas will have moderate to strong northeastward winds with moderate to rough coastal conditions.
Pagasa said light to moderate wind in the northeast direction will likewise prevail over Mindanao, while slight to moderate coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
