Palace: Gazini Ganados gave ‘pride, glory’ to PH
MANILA, Philippines — Despite failing to secure a back-to-back win for the Philippines, Malacañang on Monday lauded Miss Philippines Gazini Ganados for her Top 20 finish in the Miss Universe 2019.
“Ms. Ganados has given pride and glory to the Filipino nation by showcasing the unique beauty and talent of the Filipina,” presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo said in a statement.
Ganados failed to make it to the Top 10 of this year’s Miss Universe but Panelo said the Cebuana beauty queen represented “the country well.”
“Her experience in joining the prestigious beauty pageant should add further to her development as a beauty queen,” he said.
“We wish her all the best in her future endeavours,” he added.
Catriona Gray won the Miss Universe 2018, the fourth titleholder for the Philippines in the said pageant, before she crowned Miss South Africa Zozibini Tunzi as Miss Universe 2019.
