SSS Pensioners’ 13th-month ‍benefit out

Social Security System (SSS) pensioners can receive their 13th-month benefits starting Dec. 6, Friday.

In a statement on Thursday, the SSS said it already released P12.71 billion for the 13th-month pension to be received both through bank accounts and checks.

“We have already requested our partner-banks to credit the 13th-month pension to the respective savings accounts of our pensioners on or before Dec. 6 so that they could enjoy the money in time for the holiday season,” SSS president and chief executive Aurora C. Ignacio said, adding that the checks were released and mailed as early as Nov. 26.
