/ 05:20 AM December 06, 2019

With the number of Chinese tourists visiting the Philippines on the rise—about 1.4 million in the first three quarters this year—Duty Free Philippines Corp. has partnered with Shanghai-based UnionPay International to offer more discounts to shoppers from overseas.

The memorandum of agreement between Duty Free and UnionPay International features special discounts at all Duty Free stores nationwide.

Under their terms, all UnionPay credit, debit and prepaid cards issued outside the Philippines will be entitled to rewards which include $50 off for every single receipt of $300 and above; $6 off for a single-time purchase of $200 to $299.99; $2 off for a single-time purchase of $100 to $199.99; and $1 off for a single-time purchase of less than $100.

The promo will run until Feb. 15, 2020.—JEROME ANING
