Albay classes to resume Monday

LEGAZPI CITY –– Classes in all levels in public and private schools will resume on Monday (December 9) in Albay province.

Cedric Daep, head of Albay Public Safety and Emergency Management Office, said this is to give time for the repair and rehabilitation of classrooms damaged by the typhoon.

In Legazpi City, some classrooms that served as evacuation centers were unroofed on Monday night while Typhoon “Tisoy” was battering the Bicol region.

Mayflor Marie Jumamil, the spokesperson of the Department of Education in Bicol, said they were still consolidating the reports on damages on infrastructures in different schools.
