MANILA, Philippines — The Pinacanauan Overflow Bridge in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan province was declared not passable to motorists by local authorities on Wednesday morning due to flooding triggered by severe tropical storm Tisoy, internationally known as Kammuri.
Photos of the flooded bridge were posted by the Cagayan Provincial Information Office on Facebook, showing metal railings positioned along the road.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), Tisoy will trigger moderate with occasional heavy rains over Cagayan Valley, as well as in Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora province on Wednesday.
Last spotted at 290 kilometers west southwest of Subic in Zambales, Tisoy is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Thursday morning as a low pressure area.
