DIVILACAN, Isabela, Philippines — A 15-year-old high school student drowned after he and his friends went for a swim in the bay area here at the height of Typhoon Tisoy on Tuesday, police said.

Capt. Frances Littaua, Isabela police spokesperson, said Lorence Lagula, a Grade 10 student at Divilacan National High School, was swept away by huge waves at about 2 p.m.
