Class suspensions for December 4, Wednesday

MANILA, Philippines – Several local government units have already declared a suspension of classes for Dec. 4, Wednesday, in anticipation of the strong rains and winds brought by Typhoon Tisoy (internationally known as Kammuri).

As of 11:30 p.m., classes have been suspended in these areas:

Metro Manila

Caloocan (all levels, public and private)

Las Piñas (all levels, public and private)

Makati (pre-school to senior high school, public and private)

Malabon (all levels, public and private)

Manila (pre-school to elementary, public and private)

Marikina (all levels, public and private)

Muntinlupa (all levels, public and private)

Parañaque (all levels, public and private)

Pasay (all levels, public and private)

          Pasig (pre-school to senior high school, public and private)

Pateros (all levels, public and private)

Quezon City (all levels, public and private)

San Juan (all levels, public and private)

Valenzuela (pre-school to senior high school)

Tisoy weakened into a severe tropical storm on Wednesday morning, according to the 5 a.m. bulletin of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
It is expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility between Wednesday night and Thursday morning and is forecast to continuously weaken due to the northeast monsoon.
