MANILA, Philippines — The US Embassy in Manila closed its office starting Tuesday noon due to inclement weather brought about by Typhoon Tisoy, with international name Kammuri.

In an advisory, the embassy advised applicants to regularly check their e-mail for instructions regarding their appointment.

“In the event of an Embassy closure due to severe weather conditions, regularly check your e-mail for instructions in case your appointment for American citizen services, immigrant, or nonimmigrant visas will need to be rescheduled to a later date,” the embassy said.
