Oil firms raise prices of petroleum products

MANILA, Philippines — Diesel prices at the pump will go up on Tuesday by 65 centavos per liter, ending a nine-week run that saw prices slashed by a total of P2.70 per liter.

Pilipinas Shell, Seaoil, Total Philippines, PTT Philippines and Pheonix also announced that gasoline prices will go up by 30 centavos per liter.

Shell and Seaoil raised prices of kerosene by 50 centavos per liter.

From this month’s lowest of $57.49 per barrel, prices of the benchmark Dubai approached $62 at $61.93 per barrel on Nov. 25 amid expectations that major crude oil producers will extend an agreement to limit their output.—RONNEL W. DOMINGO
