CITY OF CALAPAN — Two people died in a vehicular accident Friday afternoon along the stretch of national highway in Narra town in Palawan province, police said Saturday.

Lt. Col. Imelda Tolentino, Mindoro-Marinduque-Romblon-Palawan police information officer, said initial investigation showed that a motorcycle driven by Grey Luntad, with two back riders–cousins Sonny Boy and Sikan Gali, was traveling to Puerto Princesa City.

From the opposite direction was a Rusco multicab driven by Bernard Regenio, 33, a carpenter.

Upon reaching Sitio (sub-village) Palo-palo, Barangay (village) Burirao, the multicab overtook and occupied the lane the motorcycle was on, leading to a head-on collision at about 3:30 p.m.

Luntad and Sonny Boy died while being taken to Narra hospital.

Meanwhile, Sikan sustained serious physical injuries and Regenio was not hurt. Regenio was arrested and brought to the police station as investigation continues.
