DOF deputy insurance commissioner promoted to PCGA Rear Admiral
MANILA, Philippines — A deputy insurance commissioner of the Department of Finance’s Insurance Commission was promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral of Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA).
In a statement on Friday, the PCGA said Atty. Randy Escolango’s promotion ceremony was held at the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Headquarters on Tuesday. PCG Admiral Joel Garcia was present during the event.
PCGA is a “service-oriented uniformed volunteer organization committed to support and assist the PCG in the promotion of safety of life and property at sea, the protection of the marine environment and its resources and the conduct of maritime search and rescue.”
In 2014, Escolango was Deputy Administrator for Legal Affairs of Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) in Subic Bay Freeport.
Escolango was also designated as officer-in-charge of the Office of the Administrator of SBMA in 2017 by President Rodrigo Duterte.
