Give Filipinos free entrance to SEA Games, labor groups ask
The Associated Labor Unions-Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (ALU-TUCP) on Thursday urged President Duterte to provide free entrance to the 30th Southeast Asian Games (SEAG) to all Filipinos, particularly ordinary workers and their families, who cannot afford the cost of watching the games. ALU-TUCP spokesperson Alan Tanjusay said the SEA Games was also a rallying point for all Filipinos to unite amid the controversies besetting the preparation for the Games, where athletes from 10 other Southeast Asian nations are expected.—TINA G.
