SAN PEDRO CITY –– A woman died in a fire that razed three houses in Bacoor City, in Cavite province on Thursday.
Police said Inigunda Quiniquini, 59, who was “bedridden” due to an ailment, failed to escape from the fire that started in her home inside the Gardenia Valley subdivision in Barangay Molino 3.
Staff Sergeant Alih Rimbang of the Bacoor City police said the residents heard a blast from Quiniquinis’ house around 12:30 a.m.
The explosion started the fire that reached the third alarm as it spread to two other houses in the subdivision.
Police and firefighters believed the blast was caused by some faulty wiring. They placed the cost of damage to P2 million. Maricar Cinco/lzb
