WATCH: Jose Mari Chan brings Christmas in LRT-1 ride

MANILA, Philippines — Jose Mari Chan brought the holiday cheer onboard LRT-1 on Wednesday as the Light Rail Manila Corp. (LRMC) launched its Christmas trains.

Performing one of his signature songs “Christmas in Our Hearts”, the singer serenaded commuters who were with him on the train.

Furthermore, singers of the Children’s Joy Foundation, Inc. brought on the Christmas spirit during the ride with their Christmas carols.

LRMC launched their three Christmas trains decked with the season’s decor in line with this year’s theme, “Christmas in our homes.”

LRMC president Juan Alfonso said in a statement that they’re “very happy” to carry on with their yearly Christmas tradition.

“This is our fourth year of dressing up select LRT-1 trains for Christmas. It’s part of our continued efforts to delight our passengers and give them an enjoyable experience, while we also work harder to improve train services for a safe, reliable, and comfortable journey,” Alfonso said.

The LRT-1 Christmas trains will run until February 2020, LRMC said.
