MANILA, Philippines – Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to the northeast monsoon on Wednesday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Cloudy skies with light rains, Pagasa said, will prevail over the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Aurora and Quezon.
The weather bureau, in its 4a.m. bulletin, added that the Visayas, Caraga region, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, and Palawan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the intertropical convergence zone.
Pagasa said the rest of Luzon and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers.
Meanwhile, Pagasa said Tropical Storm Kammuri is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Saturday evening or Sunday morning.
The weather disturbance was last spotted at 1,950 kilometers east of the Visayas with maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 105 (kph).
It is currently moving west at 35 kph.
Once it enters PAR, the tropical storm will be named Tisoy, said Pagasa.
