Sandiganbayan adds time to official’s jail term

/ 04:06 AM November 24, 2019

The Sandiganbayan Special Sixth Division affirmed the conviction of former Philippine Aerospace Development Corporation official Antonio Suba for failing to account for his cash advances in 2006.

The antigraft court also added two months to his previous jail term of four months and one day.

Suba was earlier sentenced to jail for failing to account for P132,978.68 in cash advances for a trip to Beijing in 2006.

The court dismissed Suba’s argument that the advances were used for their intended purpose because it was proven that he did not account for them.—PATRICIA DENISE M. CHIU
