Fire hits residential area in Quezon City’s Barangay Tatalon
MANILA, Philippines — A fire broke out at a residential area in Quezon City on Saturday morning, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) National Capital Region (NCR) said.
The blaze razed houses made of light materials at Villa España, Barangay Tatalon at 11:44 a.m., the BFP-NCR Public Information Office said in a report.
At 12 noon, the fire was on a fifth alarm.
After more than 40 minutes, BFP declared the blaze under control.
The fire was completely extinguished at 2:30 p.m.
Article continues after this advertisementIn an initial report, the BFP said 40 houses and 90 families were affected in the fire.
The blaze left P150,000 worth of damages.
Investigators are still conducting an investigation to determine the cause of fire.
