TS Sarah continues to weaken; rain in parts of Luzon due to amihan
MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Storm Sarah continues to weaken but rains will still be experienced in parts of Luzon due to the northeast monsoon, the state weather bureau said Friday.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Sarah is no longer bringing significant rainfall in the country.
But Metro Manila, Bicol Region, Aurora, Quezon, Rizal, Laguna, and Bulacan will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains because of the northeast monsoon.
Batanes and the Babuyan Islands may also experience gusty conditions due to the northeast monsoon’s surge, according to Pagasa, although the agency assured it will weaken throughout the day.
Pagasa warned sea travel remains risky over the seaboards of Northern Luzon specifically in the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan including the Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Provinces, and Isabela.
