Cops seize P1.3M worth of shabu in QC bust

MANILA, Philippines — Police recovered some P1.3 million worth of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City Thursday.

A report from the National Capital Region Police Office said anti-drug operatives seized around 200 grams of shabu from the suspects identified as Albert John Pakingan, Kirby Angelo Ruiz, and Dawn Marie Notarte.

The buy-bust was conducted at about 10:20 p.m. along Main Avenue near Edsa in Barangay Socorro.

Police said the suspects were brought to the Quezon City Police District’s Drug Enforcement Unit to face drug charges.
