Cop in Cebu City for court hearing fighting for life after he was shot on busy street

CEBU CITY — A police officer is in critical condition after he was shot by still unidentified assailants on a busy street here past 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21.

Lt. Col. Joie Yape, former head of the Cebu provincial police intelligence branch, was in the city for a court hearing.

Yape is currently assigned to Leyte province.

The killing is being investigated.
