MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.3 earthquake hit Sarangani town in Davao Occidental on Thursday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The quake struck at 1:14 p.m. at 260 kilometers southeast of Sarangani.
Phivolcs said that the tremor was of tectonic origin, and had a 47-kilometer depth of focus.
No aftershocks or damage were expected, Phivolcs added.
