MANILA, Philippines — A 4.0 magnitude earthquake struck off Jomalig island in Quezon province early Monday.
The 4:35 a.m. quake centered 42 kilometers northeast of Jomalig town with a depth of eight kilometers, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
Damage and aftershocks are not expected from the quake.
