PNP releases P7.4B for year-end bonus of cops, other personnel

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) approved on Friday the release of P7.4-billion for the year-end bonus of its 205,189 uniformed and non-uniformed personnel.

PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac said Lt. Gen. Archie Gamboa, officer-in-charge of the police organization, has approved the release of the fund.

The year-end bonus is equivalent to the monthly basic salary of each personnel and the mandated P5,000 cash gift from the national government, said Banac.

Year-end bonuses for PNP personnel with pending administrative and criminal cases, however, were put on hold as part of disciplinary policy.

Banac said the bonus has been credited to the ATM payroll accounts of each PNP personnel through the LandBank of the Philippines.

Brig. Gen. Joselito Vera Cruz, Director of Finance Services, said PNP personnel not yet enrolled in the ATM payroll system will receive their individual cheques through their Regional Finance Service Offices.
