/ 05:10 AM November 15, 2019

The Muntinlupa government has hired more enforcers for the holiday season in anticipation of heavier traffic in the city due to construction projects on the South Luzon Expressway.

City administrator Allan Cachuela led on Wednesday the deployment ceremony for at least 48 enforcers who would back up the traffic bureau’s 140 constables.

They would be assigned with deputized members of the Muntinlupa Task Force Discipline in the following areas: Pacwood in Tunasan, SM Center Muntinlupa, Poblacion Proper, Katihan, Country Homes Putatan, Muntinlupa City Hall, Soldiers Hills, Bayanan, Alabang Viaduct, Muntinlupa City Public Market and Alabang-Zapote Road, among other areas.

The interim enforcers will serve for two months as job order workers but they may be given longer contracts based on their performance.

City officials have been seeking traffic management solutions due to the ongoing Skyway extension project.
