DID YOU KNOW (Malaria Awareness Month)

November was declared Malaria Awareness Month by virtue of Proclamation No. 1168 signed on Nov. 10, 2006 by then President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. The Department of Health was tasked as the lead agency in the implementation of the anti-malaria campaign, in cooperation with the interior, education, defense and tourism departments, among other government agencies.  —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
