MANILA, Philippines — A woman was arrested after allegedly yielding a sachet of suspected “shabu” while she was about to visit a high-profile inmate at the maximum security compound of the New Bilibid Prison (NBP).

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) identified the suspect as Milagros Hipolito, 62.

According to police, NBP personnel found on Wednesday morning the suspected illegal drugs weighing around 2.5 grams and worth around P17,000 from the suspect during the frisking on her body as part of the standard operating procedure at the facility.
