According to the Department of Health, 377 leptospirosis patients were hospitalized in Metro Manila disease reporting units (DRU) from January to July.

Among the DRUs in the region, the East Avenue Medical Center admitted the highest number of patients at 73, followed by the National Kidney and Transplant Institute with 55. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
