‘Shabu’ worth P1M retrieved, drug dealer held in Cavite

SAN PEDRO CITY –– Police recovered 150 grams or P1 million-worth of suspected shabu (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation in Dasmariñas City, Cavite.

Authorities arrested the suspected drug dealer identified as Romulo Guevarra.

Colonel Marlon Santos, Cavite police chief, said in a text message Wednesday, that Guevarra agreed to meet with an undercover policeman around 6 p.m. on Tuesday along Aguinaldo Highway in Barangay Zone IV.

During the search, police found on Guevarra six plastic packs that allegedly contained the shabu.

The value of the seized illegal drugs was computed based on the current street price of shabu which the Cavite police said was at P6,800 per gram. Maricar Cinco/lzb
