MANILA, Philippines — Col. Julian Entoma, chief of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office, and local media are offering P100,000 to anyone who can give information that will lead to the arrest of two at-large suspects in the killing of radio broadcaster Dindo Generoso in Dumaguete City.

In a text message, Entoma said he offered P80,000 while local media donated P20,000 for the reward.

“It’s simply because the suspect is a PNP [Philippine National Police] member and to show to the people we will not condone erring personnel,” Entoma said.

He was referring to Cpl. Roger Rubio of the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, who is allegedly the hitman among the four perpetrators in the ambush-slay of Generoso on Nov. 7.

Rubio and another suspect, alleged gambling lord Tomacino Aledro, have reportedly expressed willingness to surrender to authorities.

Earlier, the Central Visayas Police Regional Office said that a “concerned citizen” offered a reward of P80,000. Entoma later revealed that he was the “concerned citizen.”

Police have arrested two other suspects, one of them a retired police officer.
