MANILA, Philippines — The local government of Quezon City signed a memorandum of agreement with Robinsons Land Corporation to put up business centers in three of its malls.
In a statement on Tuesday, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte said the business centers will be opened in Robinsons Galleria, Magnolia, and Novaliches by January 2020.
Belmonte noted that business centers will accept real property tax assessment and payments and local business tax payments.
The QC mayor said establishing more kiosks in malls will allow business owners to have an accessible way of managing their business.
“We are pursuing the installation of payment kiosks in strategic places with heavy foot traffic like malls because we want to make our citizens’ lives easier,” Belmonte said.
Belmonte added that business owners may opt to settle their payments in malls instead of enduring long queues at the Quezon City Hall.
The local government is also mulling to talk with other mall operators to establish more business centers in malls in Quezon City, Belmonte said.
