Notorious drug pusher busted in Lucena City
LUCENA CITY –– Police arrested a suspected notorious drug pusher in a buy-bust operation in Lucena City Monday afternoon, police said.
Lucena police anti-illegal drugs agents busted Renato Manalo, 50, after he sold “shabu” (crystal meth) to one of the operatives in a public transportation terminal in Barangay Ilayang Dupay around 3:45 p.m., Lt. Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, said in a report.
The suspect yielded six sachets of shabu weighing 1.9 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P3,515. The seized illegal drugs are worth P10,545 in the street market.
Police tagged Manalo as one of the few remaining shabu peddlers in the city with the terminal as his base of operation. Delfin T. Mallari Jr./lzb
