MANILA, Philippines — A motorcycle rider was killed after a bus ran over him along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City early Monday morning.
According to a report from the Quezon City Police District, a southbound bus hit and ran over victim Fitch Burch Lado Dela Cruz, 32, at 6:15 a.m. The victim was rushed to General Malvar Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
Police said they have yet to determine the name of the bus driver as he immediately left the scene of the incident.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority’s Metro Manila Accident Reporting and Analysis System has named Commonwealth Avenue as among the capital region’s “killer roads” due to the recorded number of road crash incidents there. /kga
