Sandiganbayan acquits former Lapu-Lapu City mayor
MANILA, Philippines — The Sandiganbayan has acquitted former Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Arturo Radaza and 16 other city officials of graft over the purportedly anomalous purchase of 470 computers in 2005.
The antigraft court found no proof that the government suffered undue injury from the purchase of the allegedly overpriced computers.
The court also cleared Jennet Valencia who supplied the computers at a cost of P23,476,500. —Patricia Denise M. Chiu
