QC cops nab No. 1 drug suspect in Novaliches
MANILA, Philippines — The Novaliches Police Station of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested its top drug suspect on Saturday morning.
According to a QCPD report, a team from the Novaliches station, which has Lt. Col. Rossel Cejas as chief, arrested 43-year-old Roban Valenzuela in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Bartolome in Novaliches.
Valenzuela, who is included in the Barangay Bagbag drugs watchlist, was arrested after selling crystal meth, or shabu, to an undercover officer.
Police seized from Valenzuela P68,000 worth of shabu and an unlicensed loaded Remington shotgun, some live ammunition, and the buy-bust money.
According to the police, Valenzuela had a murder case that was dismissed in 2017 and an ongoing drug case this year.
Valenzuela is detained at Novaliches Police Station and a case will be filed against him for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act and the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
