4.2-magnitude quake hits Makilala, Cotabato
MANILA, Philippines — A 4.2 magnitude earthquake struck Makilala town in Cotabato on Friday evening, Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Based on its initial earthquake bulletin, Phivolcs said the tremor hit 28 kilometers (km) southeast of Makilala, Cotabato at 6:16 p.m.

The earthquake, which was tectonic by origin, has a depth of 11 km.
It was felt at Intensity IV in Makilala, Cotabato and Intensity III in Kidapawan City.
No aftershocks and significant damage will be expected from the earthquake, Phivolcs said.
