Did You Know: Acute viral hepatitis cases fall in Metro Manila

According to the Department of Health, Metro Manila reported 53 acute viral hepatitis cases from January to May.

This was 22 percent lower compared to the 68 cases recorded in the region during the same period last year.

The regions that posted the highest number of viral hepatitis cases were the Zamboanga Peninsula with 71 cases and Western Visayas with 57 cases. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
