MANILA, Philippines — LPGMA (Liquified Petroleum Gas Marketers’ Association) Rep. Rodolfo Albano Jr. succumbed to heart failure on Tuesday afternoon. He was 85.

The lawmaker’s sons, Isabela Gov. Rodolfo “Rodito” Albano III and Isabela 1st District Rep. Antonio Albano, have confirmed this to INQUIRER.net.

Rodito said his father would be interred at the Heritage Park chapel in Taguig City on Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at the House of Representatives on Thursday and at Isabela provincial capitol beginning Saturday, he added.

The patriarch’s final resting place will be in Cabagan, Isabela, according to Antonio. He was survived by six children and seven grandchildren.

Aside from serving as a congressman for 34 years, Rodolfo also became chair of the Energy Regulatory Commission and vice governor of Isabela. The majority congressman was also a vice-chair of the House committee on labor and employment, and member of the panels on agrarian reform, trade and industry, and veterans affairs and welfare under the current 18th Congress. /kga,je
