MANILA, Philippines – Police arrested a woman who tried to smuggle a sachet of shabu (crystal meth) concealed in a packed meal at the Quezon City Police District’s Fairview station early Tuesday morning.

Lt. Col. Jeffrey Bilaro, station commander of Fairview police station, said Camie Olaguer, 27, went to Fairview police station to visit her detained friend at 3 a.m.

Olaguer asked Police Staff Sergeant William Lacuesta, custodial officer at the police station, to deliver the packed meal to her friend but the latter refused because such is not allowed during non-visiting hours.

After Olaguer appealed, Lacuesta inspected the package and discovered five sachets of shabu worth an estimated P1,600 neatly hidden under cooked rice and hotdogs.
